Find A Sales Team

Next week I hope to have ready a special 24-hour offer for a new e-book on word of mouth referral marketing that caught my eye a few weeks ago.

I’m continually on the look out for trainers and small business owners who really understand the concept of word of mouth marketing.

If you know of any then leave a comment on this post let me know of them no matter where in the world they are, because in terms of word of mouth marketing for small business, very few seem to get it.

This guy does.

It is said that imitation is the highest form of flattery. Well the next time I am in front of a small business audience I will be stealing straight from this guy’s training manual.

Imagine you are sitting in a room ready with the sales trainer up front. I’ll quote from his book, and here’s the question he begins with…

“How many of you have a sales team in your business?”

As most of my audiences are generally owners of SMEs, very few of them respond to this question. I then follow with another question “How many of you have customers?”

After that question I generally get strange looks from the audience and you can almost see what they are thinking “Has he gone nuts, what a stupid question, of course we have customers” and then all of them stick up their hands in response.

I then follow with the firm statement “I put it to you that YOU ALL HAVE A SALES TEAM IN YOUR BUSINESS AND THEY ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS, all you have to do is obtain their highest respect, educate them on the benefits and value you give, train them how to refer you and reward them for doing so.”

”How many of you NOW have a sales team in your business?”
